Georges St-Pierre is the current UFC Welterweight Champion and one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.

For the past seven years, the welterweight division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship has been led for the most part by one man: Georges St-Pierre. Also known as GSP, this Canadian is one of the most dangerous fighters in the sport and while many consider his style to be boring (right, Nick Diaz?), he produces. He has avenged every loss of his career and has several notable wins against some of the best including Jake Shields, B.J. Penn, Matt Hughes, and other stars.

What were the best wins in the career of GSP?

Matt Hughes

GSP and UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes have fought three times in their career, with St-Pierre getting the best of the wrestler twice. In their first meeting, Hughes got the win and regained his UFC welterweight title, but two years later, GSP got the second round KO victory to win the title for the first time. They fought again in 2007 for the interim UFC welterweight title, with Hughes dropping to an Armbar in the second round.

Matt Serra

After GSP got his title first title win, he would move into his first title defense with Serra. Serra was coming off his win on “The Ultimate Fighter,” which earned him his title shot. Serra shocked St-Pierre and the world with a first round TKO win. Much like he did with Hughes, St-Pierre returned the favor and got a TKO win himself in the second round of their rematch.

Grudge Fights

During his time at the top of the division, St-Pierre has had his share of grudge fights. Among them were a unanimous decision win against the brash Josh Koscheck at UFC 124 and another unanimous decision win against Nick Diaz at UFC 158. Both of those fighters attacked GSP and his fighting style which especially so in the case of Diaz, angered the champion to the point where he had his way with them.
