WEC 43 vs. Donald Cerrone for interim WEC Lightweight Championship

When it came to who the most popular lightweight fighters in WEC were, it was Henderson and Cerrone. This was the best fight of 2009 and with the interim WEC title on the line, was a five-round war. The fight went back and forth and Henderson won the title via unanimous decision.

After his interim title win against Cerrone, Henderson had a chance to compete for the real thing against Varner. In the third round of the fight, Henderson got the win with the Guillotine Choke.

The final fight in the history of WEC, Henderson and Pettis went to war for 25 minutes and after Pettis nailed his infamous cage walk head kick (YouTube it), he walked away as the final lightweight champion in WEC history.
